The event, which will take place from the 23rd to the 27th of June 2020, is organized by IBG in collaboration with the Navy and the support from AIAD.
An appointment that, edition after edition, is confirmed as the hub in the Mediterranean Sea for the Blue Economy: the sea industry at 360 degrees, thanks to the presence of national and international actors such as both the Italian and the foreign Navies, the major global players the maritime and defense industry, SMEs, experts of the academic and research community, innovative start-ups, marine and maritime technology clusters.
The leitmotif of the new edition of Seafuture will be sustainable development, with the aims of increasing safety and protection of the sea, promoting a sustainable growth, the creation of jobs and the preservation of the ecosystems and of the biodiversity. A focus will be devoted to the WestMed, initiative promoted by the European Commission to make the common maritime space safer, cleaner and more productive.
Another focus will be Underwater Defense Technologies (UDT), the underwater marine technologies used in both military and civilian settings. In particular, the objective of the UDT focus will be to present the industrial structures, university programs and the excellence in the underwater sector. Studies, new technologies and new generation materials related to Under Water applications on manned/unmanned vehicles and remote controlled craft will be presented.
During these five days, the exhibition will be accompanied by meetings, conferences, technical seminars and business conversations. Particular attention will be paid to academia and research: indeed, the Seafuture Awards will return and will again reward the most innovative master’s or specialization theses which have as their object products or processes on marine technologies.
Innovation of this year: “Call for Papers”. It will provide the opportunity for companies, researchers and managers to propose to an international and qualified audience their contribution regarding the themes of the event.
